Thank you very much for your positive remarks! The airco system will be repaired shortly.

  • We hebben genoten van onze time out in Estepona.

  • We were pleased with the apartment - spacious, well decorated, nice bathrooms and good terrace with wonderful view. Spent a lot of time in the pleasant pool area, which wasn't too busy despite it being peak season (August). Very good selection of restaurants in Estepona, so we ended up eating out more than in. Jacaranda apartment building is next to the main road in to Estepona which is busy, and can be heard in one bathroom and the kitchen. No noise at all in the bedrooms or on the terrace. The promenade is being extended, via a board walk, to run continuously towards Marbella - so you can walk indefinitely right by the sea. Gibraltar, Ronda and the Puerto Banus-Marbella ferry made good day trips out. Tom seemed very helpful (and lives in the same apartment building).

  • I would create an apartment such as this and an owner such as Tom. The situation was incredible, it might not sound tempting, being next door to a huge Carrefour, but the convenience was massive and, whilst it could be seen from some aspects, it certainly did not intrude; the view from the Penthouse Terrace was amazing. It was an easy walk to the Old Town, and indeed one could walk to the Port and the genie sandy beach round the corner. But there was more to it than this, truly fully equipped, excellent wi-fi, comfortable beds, plenty of hanging space and so on. You think of what you want and they will have thought about it for you. Thank you, Mieke and Tom

  • The flat is beautiful and very well equipped. We loved sitting on the terrace and ate our Christmas Day meal there. Very close to the supermarket and a comfortable walk into the old town. A few nice bars under the block of flats, so you can easily have a drink overlooking the sea. Only one suggestion to make - a microwave oven would be a useful addition to the kitchen.

  • Wow what a fantastic week we have just had . A very warm welcome on our arrival while being shown the beautiful apartments amenities. Everything was very high quality spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It is in a great location only a few minutes walk from the old town of Estepona . The little beach bars along the beach front serving great food . We highly recommend this property and certainly hope to be back

  • Charming… I loved the potted plants along Estepona’s whitewashed walls in the old town, the vast city murals, fantastic orchidarium, its pretty town squares, great food and attractive beach!

  • I adored the décor of this charming former Andalusian fisherman’s cottage as soon as I walked in – an instagrammer’s paradise!
The house was a cross between a super-stylish Elle Decor cover and staying in a super-comfortable, cosy “home-from-home”.

This cottage is located in the authentically residential ‘fisherman village’ area of Estepona, to the west end of the street San Roque, with the same enchanting bright plant pots hanging off its low-rise whitewashed buildings as in Estepona’s central old town area to the east. It is also just a few doors down from the famous Chapel of our Lady of Camel church situated on a cute photogenic square.

The house is literally a 1-minute walk to Playa de la Rada beach across the road, and a 5-7 minute walk to the marina and port which boast a cosmopolitan selection of restaurants and waterside bars.

I was immediately wowed by the villa’s modern-rustic entrance hall, with African masks and ethnic hand-woven shopping baskets hanging on the walls. The African theme is a nice touch as you can see Gibralta, the gateway to Africa, from the beach on a clear day.

But the house’s serious wow-factor came from the beautiful ‘lightwell’ between the spacious master bedroom to the children’s room. This mini zen courtyard consisted of a solitary tree nestled amid white pebbles - so peaceful to wake up to...

The villa’s overall look is timelessly classic white walls and tasteful natural taupe tiles. Both bathrooms have fantastic and stylish wet-room showers.

As heat rises, it is well thought out that all three bedrooms are also on this lower, cooler level. I was able to sleep for the first time in years without my earplugs, since the house’s double-glazed windows and glass doors are so effective once closed. Bliss.

Upstairs is the open-plan/L-shaped kitchen-living area, offering a very nice view of the sea above the rooftops and palm trees from the kitchen window, and also from both staggered terraces (albeit a view intersected by the coastal main road and people passing by on both sides of the property. You can hear the sea when there is no passing traffic).

Once in the kitchen and living area upstairs or on the main lower terrace, this charming villa feels really private and not overlooked, which is relaxing. I particularly liked the fishermen-style baskets used as lampshades in the kitchen.

The small upper terrace is reached via a steep flight of terracotta steps, making it probably less suitable for toddlers or anyone very old. The rooftop view from up there is fantastic. There is space for two deckchairs, perfect for sunbathing and enjoying a sundowner aperitif... This upper terrace was also handy for drying my swimming costume and beach towel as it benefited from later evening sun being higher up.

The owners of this house have thoughtfully offered the most generous, luxurious creature comforts, and little details are just the ‘cherry on the cake’ – from battery-operated candles, to board games and playing cards, to welcoming bottles of sparkling water in the fridge, and even teddybears on the kids’ bunkbed.

It really does feel like stepping in to someone’s home, but a superclean zen version – the best of both worlds!

In terms of luxury mod cons, the house has atmospheric dimmer lights, a luxurious wine-cooling fridge (there were 2 bottles in there, I didn’t dare touch them, but what a nice touch!), high-spec air-con units that were easy-to-use even for a dinosaur like me, a dishwasher, washing-machine, and electric-operated external shutters to block out every speck of light!
There was a flat-screen TV but I only used the Wifi accessible in the living room and main bedroom during my stay.

There were plenty of towels and the beautiful showers had lots of hot water and two modes of shower head: an overhead monsoon and a handheld shower hose.

Tom the very helpful and laidback Dutch host (who speaks virtually native English) was a superstar, kindly agreeing to drop off the keys in a local hotel lobby for me to collect as my flight was due to land very late.

I am already planning an off-peak revisit next year. There were too many pretty plant-potted streets I hadn’t walked down and too many relaxed Chiringuito beach restaurants I was not able to visit during the week - where they barbeque fresh fish in a charcoal-filled ‘boat’ on the beach; wonderful! I’m dreaming about that sundowner beachside mojito already...

  • Mooi gerenoveerd appartement.

  • The apartment is very beautiful, with a fantastic view of the sea. The beach is right next to the house and you only have to cross the promenade of Estepona. Tom is a very nice and helpful host. We enjoyed our holiday to the fullest and only flew back home with a heavy heart because we found it so beautiful.

  • This is a very well appointed apartment in a superb location. There is no busy road between the apartment block and the beach. There are lovely walks along the promenade and the beach, and the weather was sunny and warm in January, so we made the most of the spacious balcony. There is a variety of cafes and restaurants a short stroll from the apartment and it only takes two to three minutes to walk into the old town. We were in Estepona to relax and enjoy the slower pace of life. We went to an authentic flamenco and guitar evening which was packed with local families and we felt very welcome. We visited the Orchid House, and as recommended walked through the town visiting the plazas, the market and viewing the murals en route. Tom and Mieke were brilliant. They were welcoming and friendly and keen to help with anything. We would recommend the apartment to any of our friends.

  • We were looking for a small apartment near both the beach and the oldtown of Estepona. We found the perfect combination in the renovated apartment administered by Tom and Mieke. Everything exactly as described, and a most gracious reception and introduction to the property by Tom. Hard to imagine a more ideal place with such direct access to beach out front and the wonderful old town of Estepona behind.

  • We traveled to Estepona for a relaxing week on the beach. The apartment gave us everything we needed. Good facilities for a self catering break, and with a dishwasher to avoid wasted time at the sink washing up! A very short walk to the beach or the town, and a spectacular view of the sea from our balcony.

  • This appartement is ideally situated in Estepona, right near the old centre (with lots of nice restaurants) and directly on the beach. Very clean with all equipment you will need and the perfect terrace to take your breakfast with a stunning view of the sea! We had a lovely time and Tom was the perfect host for all your questions. Great tip: visit Ronda in the mountains if you have the chance!

  • Very nicely decorated apartment with the beach right at your doorstep. Very pretty kitchen, good beds and nice furniture. Even some toys for our kids available which was great. Village of Estepona is only a few minutes away with very nice restaurants, bars and ice cream parlours. The tips of Tom and Mieke helped us to make good restaurant selection for our family! Check-in and check-out went very smooth because of great service of Tom. Would definitely go back here and recommend to friends.

Estepona Situated on the Costa del Sol between Marbella and Gibraltar, about 45 minutes drive from Malaga airport. Andalucía is the southernmost, autonomous Spanish region and is famous for its beautiful nature and culture. Think of cities like Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba, Ronda, Granada and Malaga with their Moorish influences. Estepona is so central that all these places can be done as a daytrip.
